Why submit an abstract to COPD 2025?
You are invited to showcase your work with like minded researchers and clinicians in the field of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at COPD 2025. Submit your original research, quality improvement project or a case report of 300 words by Friday 16th May 2025 via our website.
Abstracts of original research related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be submitted for consideration as a:
- Poster Presentation
- Rising Star
Rising stars
- At the COPD 2025 Conference we want to support the next generation of researchers and clinicians in the field of COPD. If you are a junior professional still in training this is the opportunity for you to showcase your work.
- When submitting your abstract please check the box “rising stars” to notify the organising committee that you wish for the abstract to be considered in the rising star category.
- Please note only original research and no case reports will be considered in the rising star category.
- Rising stars will be selected to present their work as a poster presentation at the COPD 2025 conference.
- The two best “Rising Stars” will be selected by experts in the field and awarded the Rising Star Prize at the awards ceremony.
Abstract Guidelines
- The deadline for abstract submission is Friday 16th May 2025. Abstracts should be submitted via the online platform / emailing info@copd-uk.com
- Abstracts must be submitted on or before the above-mentioned deadline, abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- The abstract must be written in English. The abstract should not contain any spelling, grammatical or scientific errors.
- All the communications concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitting author. The submitting author is responsible for informing other authors of the outcome of the abstract.
- The presenting author should be identified on submission of the abstract. For any change in the presenter’s name, please contact the Organising Secretariat info@copd-uk.com
- The presenting author accepts full responsibility for the content, submission and presentation of the abstract, and retain full copyright of their abstract and presentation.
- By submitting an abstract, authors automatically authorise the Conference to include the abstract in Conference printings or online publications.
- The submitted work should not have been published as a full paper in a journal by the time of the meeting or have appeared in print elsewhere (except in abstract form) prior to the meeting.
Guidelines for submission
- Abstracts should be structured into Background/Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions
- Abstracts should be written in English and the complete abstract must not exceed the 300 words. Abstracts can contain formulas, pictures or graphs.
- It is possible to submit more than one abstract
- A submitted abstract can have a maximum of one presenting author
- Conflict of Interest/Disclosure: Abstracts must include an acknowledgement of any commercial funding sources. Authors should declare all commercial interests.
- All studies must have been approved by institutional committees on Ethics of experimental and human investigations.
